Social Security Frustration

I applied for SSI benefits for Faith back in May. I got a letter today telling me that the claim has been denied. Why? We make too much money. Unbelievable. I mean this money was going to be put back for Faith and her future..... just because we make too much money that should effect that? I just don't get the Government. This little girl will be disabled for the rest of her life, but yet they deny benefits because of income.

I'm livid. Absolutely livid.

This is ridiculous, your income should have nothing to do with what her income is, this is not welfare your have applied for, this is SSI. There are people in this world getting SSI just because they can not read, but the government is going to deny it to a little girl who can do NOTHING for herself. What is wrong with our world today?? Keep the fight going, I know you can appeal the decision.

Yeah, you'd think. I'd just like to know where all this income is that they're talking about. My husband is working a job that just pays right above min wage and I'm currently not working or receiving any income. There is no chance for appeal on this.... it's written in stone. They're the Government... they win.
